COMMITTEE NAMED TO PLAN EXCURSION

Jobbers and Manufacturers Will Make Trade Trip Within Next Two or Three Weeks.

A large committee has been appointed by D. J. Straus, president of the Jobbers and Manufacturers’ division of the Chamber of Commerce to arrange for a trade excursion to take place within the next two or three weeks. While announcement has not been made of the route of the excursion, it is rumored a trip will be through the new territory opened by construction of the San Antonio, Uvalde & Gulf railroad.

Another probable route is west of San Antonio on the Southern Pacific. The Jobbers and Manufacturers’ League has not run an excursion since the highly successful journey to the lower Rio Grande valley. President Straus announced a number of excursions are scheduled for the next few months.

Composing the committee on arrangements for the approaching trip are: C. M. Cain, chairman; George T. Allensworth, F. P. Caffarelli, H. W. Finck, T. W. Friederich, T. O. Foster, Gus Giesecke, A. H. Halff, W. E. Hayman, C. B. Johnson, J. E. Harper, Max Krueger, Edwin Lamm, O. S. Lammers, M. H. Mussett, George B. Marshall, W. M. Marvin, Joseph Obriotti, Edward Oppenheimer, A. F. Richter, Ed F. Melcher, D. J. Straus and W. E. Smith.
