*San Antonio Express* display: Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee Co. wholesale “To the Trade” notice on new fireproof North Medina Street quarters

This 10 August 1913 San Antonio Express clipping is a wholesale display for Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee Co., addressed “To the Trade.” The company announces its move into a new fireproof building in the 300 block of North Medina Street, just north of the I. & G. N. passenger depot and next to Caffarelli Brothers. The copy vaunts a roasting works of more than 4,000 square feet of floor space, same-day service for fresh goods, a full line of green and roasted coffees, and job-roasting of coffee and peanuts. It is a direct snapshot of how Hoffmann-Hayman was pitching San Antonio and surrounding jobbing trade as it expanded the physical plant in the 1910s.
