City National Bank feature with H and H Coffee — Express-News, 16 Dec 1924

Long institutional advertisement from the San Antonio Express-News for Tuesday, 16 December 1924 (page 13) profiling City National Bank (capital, deposits, Commerce/Navarro quarters, 1921 consolidation), with a closing paragraph in which H and H Coffee joins in praising the bank as a fellow booster of San Antonio growth—typical co-op display pairing local brands with finance advertising.

ORGANIZED in 1899, with a capital stock of $100,000, the City National Bank is now regarded as one of the strong financial institutions of the great Southwest. The present capital, surplus and undivided profits aggregate more than $1,200,000, with deposits of more than $13,000,000.
The first location of the City National was on Commerce, the present home of the Duerler Mfg. Co. Later the bank was moved to Commerce and Navarro, where it remained until it moved into its present quarters, Houston and Navarro. In 1921 a consolidation was consummated of the City National, State National and the commercial department of the Central Trust Co.
The City National occupies the ground floor of its own building, a twelve-story office structure. This building was erected five years ago, and since that time there has never been a vacant office room, due, according to City National officials, to the efficient building management and the needs of San Antonio as a growing city for modern office space.
San Antonio is justly proud of this sound and progressive banking institution, and H and H Coffee joins in this pride, inasmuch as the City National and H and H are working hand in hand to make San Antonio bigger and better in every way.
