H and H Coffee “Fragrant” Cardboard Litho Sign

A horizontal cardboard litho advertising sign for H and H Coffee, typical of the small counter and window pieces Hoffmann-Hayman distributed to grocers and coffee retailers. The layout reads left-to-right: a painted one-pound H and H Blend Coffee tin in the familiar red-white-blue label (“Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee Co. San Antonio Texas — Steel Cut 100% Pure”), a trailing illustrated red rose that picks up the “Fragrant…” script at the upper left, and on the right the H and H Coffee banner logo with “Hoffmann-Hayman Est. 1899 Co.” and the company tagline, “We roast it — others praise it.” The Continental Litho. Corp., Cleveland credit sits in the lower right margin, and a small “NO. 2” stock mark is visible in the bottom-left below the tin. The sign is in strong color with minor edge wear and is currently housed in a clear protective sleeve.
