H and H Coffee paper sample cup

A small cream waxed-paper sample cup in the collection prints the block “Ask your grocer for H and H Coffee” in red with two fine rules and the large monogram H’s and “and” between them—retail hand sampling from the same interwar years as the newspaper “ask your grocer” display campaigns. The photograph sets the cup on the shelf with H and H Blend, Sam Houston, and other house tins; we treat it as companion ephemera to the H and H promotional napkin. The 1930-01-01 filename is a working placeholder until a closer production or campaign date is documented.
