Texas Girl Coffee Four-Pound Pail

less than 1 minute read

A four-pound Texas Girl coffee pail with a wire bail handle, in a heavily patinated cream-and-blue livery. The top of the label carries the familiar “WE ROAST IT — OTHERS PRAISE IT” motto flanking the H and H diamond, followed by the “TEXAS GIRL” brand name, the central medallion with the Texas Girl’s stylized portrait over two sprigs of bluebonnets, and “COFFEE” in outlined capitals near the base. The bottom rail still reads “FOUR POUNDS / NET WEIGHT”. Larger pail formats like this were the household-kitchen size — less common than the one-pound keywind tins of the same period — and surviving examples rarely turn up with the bail handle still attached.
