Significant Continental-era (post-1962) primary source. Documents that Master Chef Food Products was the operating name at 601 Delaware in late 1966 — 4 years after Continental Coffee of Chicago purchased H&H. Names Jack Moore (president) and Warren Burns (sales manager) of Master Chef Food Products — both new to the KB. Confirms the plant at 601 Delaware was expanded and modernized by Dec 1966 to support “Master Chef expansion program for the San Antonio market.” Introduces two brand mascots: Jordan Sawyer, “the Master Chef” and Karla Kreft, the Master Chef girl, who kicked off the expansion program alongside Moore and Burns. The expansion’s “first step” was the new color-keyed cans for easy grind selection.
