Family identification:

  • Albert G. Menger, uncle of the bride, served as lector of the Mass. This is a primary-source attestation of an “uncle” family-relationship between Albert G. Menger (then-recent former H&H Coffee Co. president) and the McClung family — specifically the bride Mary Kathleen McClung, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy La Monte McClung Jr.
  • The bride’s mother is therefore one of Albert G. Menger’s sisters (or, less commonly, Albert’s wife Lemoyne Flaherty was a McClung). Theodore J. Menger’s 1987 obituary lists Rose Marie McClung of Round Rock as a niece — so Rose Marie McClung is one of Albert’s nieces and a Menger-family cousin to Mary Kathleen McClung; this 1969 wedding likely involves the same McClung branch. Notably Rose Marie McClung appears here as one of the bride’s bridesmaids (“sisters of the bride” — so Mary Kathleen, Rose Marie, and Mary Margaret McClung are all sisters and all nieces of Albert G. Menger).
