Founded 2005 by Aaron Blanco. One of San Antonio’s most prominent specialty coffee operations; received national recognition from TV food personality Alton Brown, who called it “the place for the world’s greatest cup of coffee.”

Locations

  • Original (2005–2019): San Antonio’s Deco District (minutes from downtown)
  • Final (2019–2024): 812 S. Alamo St., Southtown

Relocated to the larger Southtown space in 2019; operated there for five years before closing.

  • Specialty espresso and filter coffee; whole-bean retail
  • Wholesale, exotic, and rare coffees; custom blends and single-origin programs for other cafés and restaurants
  • Equipment sales: Compak, Hario, Baratza
  • BREW THIS! Workshops — consumer education events covering a wide range of coffee topics “in a relaxed forum, from some of the city’s consummate coffee professionals”
  • Coffee consultation and execution for upstart or established SA coffee shops

Closure

Announced via social media on February 15, 2024; final day February 29, 2024. No reason was stated publicly. Closing statement: “We hate to leave South Town! It’s been an awesome five years. The coffee community and culture is so amazing in San Antonio, and we were so proud to contribute to it.”
