Rose Lee Menger

Rose Lee Menger, née Crowther (c. 1893 – October 1955, age 62). First wife of Gustav P. Menger, president of H. & H. Coffee Co. A lifelong resident of San Antonio. Resided at 158 Brightwood.

Family

Married Gus P. Menger in 1917 (per the menger-family.md genealogy, given as “Rosa Lee Crowther”). Children: Mrs. John C. Burkholder, Mrs. Guy McClung, Sister Rose Marie, and son Albert G. Menger (who became H&H president in 1960). Brothers A. B. and Ben Crowther, both of San Antonio.

Member of St. Peter, Prince of Apostles church; the Altar society; Parent-Teachers club; Sultanas; and Catholic Daughters. Angelus Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Gus P. Menger’s second wife (appearing in his 1974 obituary) was Mrs. Adele Menger.
