On page 29 of the same Light issue, a brief news item names Texas Girl as Hoffmann–Hayman’s new brand and quotes Gus Menger on the money-back twin-package trial—editorial companion to the large display ad on the page and to the Express-News promotion that week.

TEXAS GIRL IS NEW BRAND COFFEE
“Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee company, local roasters, are offering to San Antonio housewives a new brand of coffee, ‘Texas Girl Coffee,’ a special blend introduced with a guaranteed introductory offer.
This guaranteed introductory as explained by Gus Menger, official of the Hoffmann-Hayman company is: Buy the ‘Twin Packages’ of Texas Girl coffee at the low introductory price, open one package and give it a thorough test, then if the family does not agree that ‘Texas Girl’ is as delicious and delightful as any coffee selling anywhere near its price, return the unopened package together with the band which held the two packages together and the grocer will refund full purchase price.
This introductory offer is in effect for a limited time.”
