Unwavering faith in the future of San Antonio has been particularly evidenced by officials of the Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee Company with the recent announcement of the construction of a new plant on Delaware street at the Southern Pacific tracks, work on which was begun on July 25.

The Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee Company, founded here over a quarter of a century ago by the late William R. Hoffmann, is one of the pioneer coffee roasting concerns in the state, and is under the ownership and capable executive direction of G. P. Menger, president; Mrs. William J. Schlosser, vice president; R. W. Menger, secretary, and T. J. Menger, treasurer.

Specializing in the roasting and blending of fine coffees, of which their most outstanding brand is the modern H and H, the Hoffmann-Hayman Company have been justly rewarded by such increased demand for their products that their present plant at 331 Burnet street has, on more than one occasion, been enlarged.

Recently the Hoffmann-Hayman Company revolutionized the local coffee industry with the introduction of H and H Crystalvac, which is their famous H and H brand coffee, vacuum packed in a reusable crystal jar; this innovation has met with wide acceptance by virtue of the coffee’s superior freshness, and one of the impressive features of the new building will be a large H and H Crystalvac container placed on the highest point of the roof which will be visible for blocks in all directions.

Of modern fireproof construction throughout, the new plant of the Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee Company is a most noteworthy contribution to the return of prosperity and the advancement of local industry. It is expected to be completed and ready for occupancy about Oct. 15.
