Death notice — William R. Hoffman; San Antonio Light, 11 Jan 1912, page 4

Brief death notice for William R. Hoffman (printed spelling), founder-era tea and coffee merchant, in the San Antonio Light for Thursday, 11 January 1912 (page 4). The item reports that he died the previous afternoon at 631 Nolan Street, with funeral the same day from the home, and names his widow Minnie Menger and their infant daughter—a contemporary print anchor for the William Robert Hoffmann bio and the family’s 1911 card of thanks after the loss of their son. The early February Hoffmann–Hayman successor announcement ran when the company narrative had already begun its Hayman merger chapter.
