*San Antonio Express* boxed display: “Congratulations” to Fredericksburg merchants, Hoffmann-Hayman as San Antonio source for coffee and tea

This 17 November 1913 San Antonio Express clip is a congratulations notice aimed at Fredericksburg merchants and residents. The line “You are now in close touch with the outside world” points to the era when rail connection to the Hill Country was newsworthy—the San Antonio, Fredericksburg and Northern had only recently linked Fredericksburg to San Antonio, so Hoffmann-Hayman is positioning its wholesale and retail line as a same-region alternative to distant suppliers. The ad promises a full green and roasted coffee list, tea, fresh roasting, and quick delivery, under the (misprinted) footer HOFFMANN-HAYMAN COFFFE COMPANY—a useful documentary slip on a busy proof.
