Friday, 19 October 1917 San Antonio Light: a First Liberty Loan (follow-on) sponsor page with decorative star border, Liberty Bell illustration, and a grid of “This Page Patriotically Furnished By the Following Firms.” The Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee Co. cell lists wholesale coffee, tea and spices at 307 North Medina St., old phone Cr. 7503, brands H. & H. Blend—Wesco—Texco, and the tag “We Roast It—Others Praise It.” The rest of the sheet gathers Pioneer Flour, dry-goods jobbers, hardware, drugs, and allied trades—wartime civic advertising at full broadsheet scale.
