Simpson & Doeller Co. — H and H Blend Tin Marking

A macro shot along the lower skirt of a 1920s H and H Blend Coffee round tin: the dark navy field is framed by thin red and gold bands, and a single line of tiny gold lettering identifies the manufacturer — THE SIMPSON & DOELLER CO BALTO MD H 7080 11 — printed just above the bottom rim. Simpson & Doeller was a Baltimore tinshop; the “H 7080 11” reads like an internal job or plate code. The mark answers a recurring collector question: who actually stamped the metal for Hoffmann-Hayman’s Blend line in this era.
