Facts
Facts is the durable layer of this site: an entity-by-entity record of what is known about the Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee Company, the brands it produced or carried, the people who ran and worked for it, the firms it bought from and sold to, the places where it operated, the artifacts that survive, and the events that anchor the timeline. Posts in the blog archive cite into Facts; Facts does not cite back into individual posts.
This hub groups Facts into three clusters: who and where, what we have, and when. Each cluster’s pages are individually maintained — start anywhere.
Who and where
- People — founders, family, officers, the documented 1920s–1930s rank-and-file, and closely linked figures from the timeline.
- Companies — who Hoffmann-Hayman bought from, sold to, competed with, or succeeded.
- Places — plants, offices, and addresses tied to the company and the families behind it.
What we have
- Brands — house labels and inherited lines: the H and H coffees, Master Chef, Texas Girl, Crystalvac, and the lower-tier names that came in with the 1917 Morrison acquisition.
- Galleries — image grids: the collection, the factory, newspaper clippings, branding in newspapers, reference, wanted, and “not our H and H.”
- Artifacts — filterable index of the post-level artifact catalog by era, type, brand, and source publication.
- Accessions — curated museum inventory records (one card per accession).
When
- Events — chronological index of dated events tied to the company, the families, and the surrounding firms.
