Dr. William J. Schlosser

San Antonio. Second husband of Minnie Menger Hoffmann (after William R. Hoffmann’s 1912 death). By 1922 Minnie was identified in H&H corporate materials as “Mrs. William Schlosser” / “Mrs. (Dr.) William J. Schlosser” — she had remarried before the December 1922 officer-list publication.

Dr. Schlosser appears with the family in the 2014-12-18 “very special tour” factory photograph. Died 1963 per the project’s history timeline. Marriage date to Minnie is recorded as 18 January 1919 per Find a Grave (see Minnie Menger Schlosser).

Stepdaughters

Helen B. Hoffmann’s January 1945 death notice identifies her survivors as “parents, Dr. and Mrs. William J. Schlosser” — confirming Schlosser served as stepfather to Helen and Mildred (Helen’s sister, listed as “Miss Mildred Schlosser” in the obituary, having taken the Schlosser name). Helen died 17 January 1945, aged 33; she was the namesake of Texas Girl Coffee. Mildred’s later history is undocumented in current sources.
